Holly Derenthal
Holly N. Derenthal joined Bauer Family Law on January 31st of
2008. Her primary focus is family law matters including divorce,
paternity, child support, adoption, guardian ad litem work and
other related issues.
Ms. Derenthal has a diverse background in law, education and
real estate and is often able to utilize her broad range of
experiences to her client’s advantage. Prior to joining Bauer
Family Law, Ms. Derenthal served as an associate professor of
law at the University of Florida College of Law. She taught
various courses in legal research, legal writing, and
argumentative writing to first and second year law students.
Ms. Derenthal is a 2000 graduate of the University of Florida
College of Law, where she was the Research Editor for the
Florida Law Review and graduated with honors. She received
her bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Florida
as well, where she was a member of the Golden Key Honor
Society, and a member of the Student Government Association.
Ms. Derenthal grew up in the Orlando community and is a
graduate of West Orange High School. After graduating from
Law School at the University of Florida, she returned to Orlando.
She currently lives in the College Park area with her husband
and two children. Ms. Derenthal is committed to the Orlando
community and she believes in giving back. She is involved in
various community organizations including her children’s
schools, Princeton elementary and the CDC at the Winter Park
Church. She has served on the Board for the Beta Center
located in East Orlando for five years and still remains active in
the organization. She is also an active member of College Park
Baptist Church.
